Dr. Parekh completed his training to become a family physician at the Royal College of General Practitioners. Before this, he completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Ethics and Law at Kin’gs College in London, England. Dr. Parekh has a wide range of experience in the medical field. He’s worked as a family physician in hospitals and communities across London specializing in urgent care, mental health and elderly medicine. In his work, Dr. Parekh firmly believes in providing a holistic approach to healthcare by understanding the wider psychological impact health problems have on patients. He feels rewarded each day to help his patients by improving their health and wellness.
Dr. Ghassemian is dual certified to treat adults and children in the field of Allergy and Immunology. She completed her medical training at Queen’s University and her Internal Medicine Residency and sub-specialty training in Clinical Allergy and Immunology at Western University. She enjoys the impact that diagnosing, treating, and even de-labelling allergies can have on patients and their care. She is excited to be joining the team at HealthOne in downtown Toronto!
In her spare time, Dr. Ghassemian enjoys exploring Toronto, travelling, cooking, and hopes to learn some new languages.
Carren is a Registered Nurse who completed her Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing at York University. She has been part of the HealthOne team as a clinic nurse since 2014, and has also gained experience as both a community nurse and a travel nurse in various settings.
Carren sought out a career in the medical field in hopes of having a job that was both challenging and inspiring at the same time. Now, she’s thrilled to have the opportunity to empower patients and their families with knowledge while helping to advocate for them and help them during challenging periods in their lives.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, music, and journaling. Carren is also fluent in Tagalog and English.
